Director of the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), Eric Green, MD, PhD, presented at the HudsonAlpha Research Seminar January 25.

Green discussed how far we’ve come since the Human Genome Project and the impact that HudsonAlpha is having in the field of personalized medicine.

“They’re very innovative here,” Green said. “Considering how they’re quite new – they’re young – that’s pretty impressive. What they are doing here is incredibly relevant.”

Green also explains four areas where genomics is making a difference including cancer, pharmacogenomics, diagnosing rare diseases and pregnancy genomics.
